Job Description and Duties
The Atlas Copco D series is designed for tough drilling applications. That means difficult terrain, where optimal traction and heavy duty tracks are a must. However, the most important features of the new D series have been developed according to well known Atlas Copco characteristics – extremely robust and solid equipment with a high technical standard, giving good hole quality and optimal drilling economy.
We require the service of a Seasoned Mechanical Engineer with Excellent knowledge of D5 and D3 DRILLING RIG (ATLAS COPCO Characteristics)
Other job functions include the expertise to:
* Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
* Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
* Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications..
* Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products, using drafting tools or computer-assisted design/drafting equipment and software.
* Conduct research that tests and analyzes the feasibility, design, operation and performance of equipment, components and systems.
* Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew.
* Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications and necessity of modification.
* Develop, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, and operation of product designs.
Qualification and Experience:
* HND/ B.Sc in Mechanic Engineering degree is preferable or equivalent knowledge gained from experience (a minimum of 5 – 8 years in similar role)
* A second Degree in similar field will be an added advantage
* Excellent knowledge of D5 and D3 DRILLING RIG (ATLAS COPCO Characteristics)
* Not less than 35 years.
* Ability to deliver a range of technically challenging projects with demonstrable structural integrity assessment experience within stipulated project time frame.
* .Proficient in the use of Microsoft Packages, Internet etc.
