Our client, as part of the initiatives to achieve improving its service quality and re-positioning in the industry seeks to recruit focused, energetic, results-oriented and suitably qualified professionals to fill the following positions in its composite insurance subsidiary:
Job Title: IT OfficersRef: ES00551 The successful candidates will be responsible for the deployment and continuous management of appropriate Information Technology network strategy, policies and procedures while ensuring compliance, updates and enhancements as necessary. Specifically, the candidate will:
• Support the administration of the company’s IT platform and network applications.
• Manage the company’s messaging domain/applications.
• Monitor the activities of the information security and messaging administrators.
• Ensure optimal uptime of the company’s lCTsystem.
• Support the administration of the portal and workflow server.
• Provide in-house support to all ICT-related projects and applications within the company.
• Liaise with software vendors and consultants in troubleshooting application issues and apply remedial patches as required.
• Participate in the design, development and deployment of in-house applications and extension of packaged applications’ functionality. Qualification, experience and attributes
• Relevant professional qualifications, e,g. MCp, CISCO. OCP
• Minimum of three (3) years’ post qualification experience
• Knowledge of network management and .database administration
• Experience in the development of applications
• Knowledge of Oracle Database. Visual Basic, Microsoft office suite, SQL, PL/SQL, Forms & Reports and any ERP application will be a definite advantage
• Knowledge of HTML application
• Demonstrable ability to contribute creatively to the development of IT strategies and procedures
• Knowledge of Information Systems management
• Knowledge of relevant IT facilities/infrastructure management processes and procedures Method of Application
