JOB REQUIREMENT DESCRIPTION
During CFT period up to Contract Award:-
• Ensure implementation in his/her own discipline of all HSE and QC requirements and report to SPS Package Engineering Manager on any deviation.
• Liaison with other SPS Company disciplines to ensure that internal interfaces and technical requirements are adequately incorporated into the BE definition of SPS Equipment Qualification and Systems Testing requirements.
• Review / development of the schedule for the proposed SPS Qualification and Systems Testing programmes, ensuring that the definition requirements are coherent with the SPS and overall Project execution schedule. Close liaison with planning will be required.
• Evaluate the required specialised, test equipment requirements for implementation of the qualification and systems testing programmes. Develop and implement a strategy for test equipment provision for Rev. 1 – June 2010
incorporation within the CFT Exhibits.
• Evaluation of the commercial aspects of the CFT Exhibits for the SPS as they affect Equipment Qualification and Systems Testing with particular emphasis on Contract Execution strategy including schedule, QA / QC requirements and interface management.
• Liaison with Company specialists within technical department to ensure conformance of proposed programmes with, or for approval to derogate from, Company specifications.
• Inter-package coordination with Company Project teams to ensure coherency of cross package design and project execution interfaces.
• Report to the SPS Engineering Manager formally, on a weekly and monthly basis, and on an ad-hoc basis with respect to Equipment Qualification and Systems Testing activities.
• Participate to preparation of the CFT Appraisal Procedures and Documentation.
• Assist in evaluation of the responses to the CFT and in preparation of the Recommendation to Award (RTA) for the SPS Contract.
• Assist in the resolution of technical and execution related queries from both the Tenderers and Company teams. Review proposed deviations and give recommendation for project management approval.
• Organise and / or represent Company for Equipment Qualification and Systems Testing related matters in meetings with Tenderers, Company Project Teams and Corporate entities.
During Project Execution phase:
• Ensure implementation in his/her own discipline of all HSE and QC requirements and report to SPS Package Manager on any deviation.
• Follow-up of the detailed engineering, associated with qualification and testing programmes for Egina and any future, associated field developments to ensure compliance with Contract specifications and requirements.
• Monitor the Equipment Qualification and Systems Testing schedule, providing input and analysis to the Company appointed planning authority for SPS in order to ensure that Contractor’s delivery commitments are met.
• Participate in Design Reviews and evaluations to ensure that qualification and system test programmes effectively validate the functional, installation and operational interfaces of systems and equipment.
• Liaise with Company Discipline leads to coordinate Company evaluation and approval of Contractor’s Equipment Qualification and System Testing specifications and programmes.
• Evaluate Company Equipment Qualification and System Testing workload commitments and identify, as necessary, additional resources or the means required to meet Contract objectives to the SPS Engineering Manager.
• Instigate and manage weekly progress meetings with Contractor, and provide weekly and monthly reports to SPS Engineering Manager.
• Assist the SPS Engineering Manager in the analysis and resolution of Change Order Requests.
• Liaise with the SPS Engineering Manager in the analysis of Equipment Qualification and System Testing related budgets.
• Report engineering and/or testing progress regularly to the SPS Engineering Manager, highlighting critical problems and identifying schedule and cost impacts. Propose recovery methods and work with Contractor to ensure implementation.
• Review and management of Contractor resources and organization, identifying that they are adequate (and competent) for achieving the discipline works.
• Monitor and advise on procurement activities related to the qualification and systems testing programmes in order to ensure compliance with project Requirements.
• Liaise with other Packages (UFR, FPSO, Drilling and Field Operation teams) to ensure cross-package technical and commercial concerns are fully addressed through the equipment qualification and systems Rev. 1 – June 2010
testing programmes.
• Review and comment on detailed design documents, within the allowed timeframe, ensuring consistency with Egina Drawings, Specifications and Procedures.
• Review qualification and systems testing site visit reports and test reports. Manage non-conformances and punch list to a satisfactory conclusion.
• Propose to the SPS Engineering Manager, the disposition of Deviations, Concessions and /or Derogation requests as they affect Equipment Qualification and System Testing.
• Participate to or organize any technical or co-ordination meeting necessary to fulfil the job responsibilities.
• Prepare in collaboration with the SPS Engineering, Package and Quality Managers, the QA/ QC surveillance systems to be put in place for Equipment Qualification and System Testing. Attend tests site, as necessary.
• Liaise with Package QA Manager for the management of surveillance activities for Equipment Qualification and System Testing.
JOB REQUIREMENT
Education: Professional engineer.
• Qualification: >10 years experience in Subsea Production Systems and / or a discipline of SPS. Demonstrable knowledge of intra SPS discipline interfaces. Previous experience of the management of SPS qualification and test programmes is a distinct advantage as is demonstration of Company / Operator Representation during project execution.
• The candidate shall be a mechanical engineer by formation and shall possess strong competences and knowledge in welding and materials employed for subsea equipment manufacturing and of all related issues. Such competences / knowledge shall be demonstrated by previous successful related professional experiences.
• Mobility: placement is primarily in Lagos, Nigeria with the potential for international trips.
• Language: English fluent.
