Economist (Research)
Role
- To review and analyse CBN macro economic policy and assess implications on macro economics variables ie inflation exchange rates interest rates. The candidate must be able to present house view on the direction of these variables to local and international investors by demonstrating a robust model used to reach these forecasts.
- Candidate must be articulate with excellent writing skills. The role will be within an existing research team and be pivotal in developing the units top down investment strategy. The candidate must have some understanding of the needs of investors wrt to macro economic analysis
The candidate
- Strong academic background in macro and micro Economics, and good balance between public sector and private sector exposure.
- An ability to provide sound macroeconomic data to a variety of business with the intent to translate the research knowledge to an investment opportunity. Experience in writing and editing company / industry research,
